About SynC Standards

Background on the SynC Standards library: why it exists, how contributing and licensing work, and the markup that turns a standard into a structured, configurable specification.

SynC Standards is an open, community-revised library of construction standards, published under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 and free to read without an account. These three pages are the library's own documentation — the reasoning behind it, the rules that govern contributing to it, and the markup that gives every standard its structure.

Read them if you want to understand where the content comes from and how far you can trust it, if you are considering contributing or adopting a standard into your own work, or if you are writing one and need the syntax.
