Covers the light source and luminous performance, photometric and color characteristics, the LED driver and electrical connection, integral and protocol-based dimming, luminaire construction and mounting, and emergency egress lighting integral to or associated with the fixture.
The building lighting control system for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects — the sensors, switches, dimmers, time switches, relay and contactor panels, photosensors, and networked or luminaire-level control equipment that turn lighting on, off, and to intermediate levels in response to occupancy, daylight, schedule, and manual command. Covers the control devices, the dimming and control interface to the luminaire driver (0–10V, DALI/DALI-2, phase-cut), networked and luminaire-level control systems, the emergency lighting control interface required by UL 924, the low-voltage control wiring, the documented sequences of operation, and the commissioning and functional testing the energy code requires.
