Electronic access control systems for managing pedestrian entry into commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings. Covers system architecture (standalone, networked, and cloud-managed), door controllers and panels, credential readers and credentials, electrified door hardware coordination, request-to-exit devices, door position switches, low-voltage power supplies with battery backup, controller and reader cabling, head-end software, user management and audit, fire alarm release interface, cybersecurity, and acceptance testing for swinging pedestrian doors.
Engineered and pre-engineered gaseous total-flooding clean-agent fire extinguishing systems that protect high-value, mission-critical, or water-sensitive enclosures by discharging an electrically non-conductive, residue-free agent that suppresses fire without wetting or contaminating the protected contents. Covers both families of agent recognized by NFPA 2001 — halocarbon agents (such as HFC-227ea and the fluoroketone FK-5-1-12), which extinguish primarily by heat absorption, and inert-gas agents (such as IG-541, IG-55, and IG-100), which extinguish by reducing the oxygen concentration below that needed to support combustion. System-level standard establishing the classification, source selection, load assignment, transfer scheme, overcurrent coordination, and acceptance testing for a building's emergency and standby power system, in accordance with NFPA 70 Articles 700 (Emergency Systems), 701 (Legally Required Standby), 702 (Optional Standby), and 708 (Critical Operations Power Systems), and NFPA 110 and NFPA 111. Use this standard to define what the system must do as a whole — which loads are emergency vs. standby, what alternate source serves them, how fast they transfer, and how they are commissioned and maintained. Component-level requirements are deferred to the equipment standards for the engine-generator set (see Generators), the automatic transfer switches (see Automatic Transfer Switches), and the stored-energy sources (see DC Battery Systems).
